Hey Bob, I am so 'right-wing' I am pushing the left off the edge. Good place for them, I believe. I actually wrote to President Bush pointing out the mispronunciation of nuclear. He said, " new Q ler ". It is sad. I used to make mistakes but when they were pointed out to me, I corrected them and never did it again. Regarding Osama Obama, OMG - I cannot believe the fiasco he is creating in our country. I think deep down inside he must be blonde. Why? Because he acts as if as long as there is still paper in the Federal Printing Press the U.S. can always have money. He will go down in history as the greatest counterfeiter ever. Mr. I care about the downtrodden, what the hell?! He and his wife have so many staff it is incredible. Oh gee, should I be sorry that they can no longer go out in public without the Secret Service protecting them. Not me, I say "Go out, take a walk!" Oh, another thing, what a shame that a Democrat didn't fill Kennedy's shoes after he died. Well, I know at least two people who have NO sympathy for Kennedy. 1) me and 2) Mary Jo Kopeckne, God rest her mistrusting soul. Kennedy was NOT a great man. How can a murderer ever redeem himself? What goes around comes around. It is just too bad karma took SO long in Kennedy's case. I'm with Michael, maybe we should try a computer-generated President. It couldn't be any worse than the puppet we have in the White House now. Please, God Bless and Protect America during this administration. What’s that? I hear a knock at my door. Who is it? China and Iran – oh no! Shhh, lock and load – be afraid, be very afraid as long as Osama Obama is at the White House. Talk about over-exposure. This guy is on TV every day! Thank goodness for remote controls. Bob, thank you for your service to America. Best of luck to Scott Brown and the NRA. If anyone is reading this, VOTE NO for National Health Care. All we need is what our legislators have. They pay a paultry amount of money for health care, it doesn't matter if they have pre-existing conditions and when they leave their office, they don't have to sign up for COBRA, like we do.

The sad part is, had Bush said this, it would have been front page news. Journalism is long dead...now we have a MSM which is, at best, a PR arm for the White House.

the word not on the tele prompter was "core man or medic".You have to remember the great one has never served or lead anything other than a community before taking office..I guess we get what we pay for..eh!

I think President Obama was very uncomfortable in the delivery of saying corpsman, and that he could sense it didn't sound right.  It is understandable that he would pronounce it that way because his circle of friends probably have never included individuals with a military background.

I do believe the interesting point is: has the mainstream media covered this as they did the slip ups of President Bush?  I do not know.  Has Letterman carried on his "Great speeches in Presidential History", for this would have been a wonderful one to highlight the way he poked fun at President Bush.

Has anyone seen this covered on the networks or late night talk shows?  Just asking.

I have no problem with the president not pronouncing it correctly(you would not know unless you had a military background or had friends in the military)-I am just curious how the media has reacted to it. 

Bob, I'm truly shocked! I've been "waffling" between considering B. Hussein O. evil, or truly stupid. After this almost unbelievable episode, I'm back to questioning his mental capacity. This bothers me.

I think they need to put phonetic spelling on the teleprompter.

Speaking of...back in the late 60's a friend of mine joined the Naval Reserve  (in West Texas no less) to avoid beng drafted and studied to be a medic. He was something of a trouble maker and ended up in some trouble and was "called" to active duty. Not as he originally planned...on a ship safe and sound but as a Corpsman with the Marines and off to the jungles he went. He made it back, still a bit crazy and we are friends to this day! I can tell you HE knew how to prounounce the word!

Sad, sad, sad.  I got an email with a list of the words Obama uses over and over and over again.  Bingo.... so tired of hearing "let me be clear", "transparent" WHat a joke.... and the WORST "previous administration"...  NO president on his own made all the problems we have today.  THIS president sure is working to remove the middle class and redistribute money.... WAKE UP AMERICA.... you soon will have NOTHING of your own!!

Thank you for the entertainment this morning!  I'm not sure if I've enjoyed YOUR POST or all the comments below.  We're "stuck" for awhile and this "change" isn't looking like anything that shows improvement the way I see it.  Well...if I lived off the government I might appreciate him I suppose. 

Hey Bob, we have not exchanged comments for a long time and I ran across this old blog of yours.  But, over time, nothing changes.  Obama can continue to not know what he is doing and Perry can have a memory lapse that the media has decided disqualifies him.  It is going to be an interesting 2012 and I hope you start blogging again.
